Message from Andy our Group Scout Leader with regards to the Scout Association and the groups stance on the Coronavirus.
I am just writing to advise the situation regarding the Coronavirus and its impact on Scouting activities.
The Scout Association advises that we should frequently refer to the Government Health information and that this should be our sole source of information.
At present this indicates that we can continue with our weekly meetings and other planned activities. However should local schools close then we should revise our plans accordingly.
We are reviewing the practicalities of a new drop off / collection routine and again will advise accordingly. In the meantime please DO NOT send your child to section meetings if they are at all unwell. I am aware that instances of the Coronavirus in young children are less serious, but the impact on those elderly people who use the hall for Bingo and Keep Fit may be more significant.
