1957 to 2017 Celebrating 60 years of Scouting in Painters Ash
Formed in 1957 for the then new housing development of Painters Ash, 5th Northfleet Scout Group is one of the largest in Gravesham District Scouts. 5th Northfleet provide weekly term time meetings and activities at weekends throughout the year for about 60 Young people. Helped along by our volunteer army of Young Leaders (14-18 Year olds) and over 20 adults to provide a great experience for the young people of Painters Ash and further afield.
5th Northfleet have taken part in activities such as Camping, Kayaking, Caving, rifle Shooting, Climbing, Archery, Narrow Boating and Abseiling are to name but a few. 5th Northfleet have even managed to help a a few of our members to go to a World Scout Jamboree held in different countries all over the world every four years and attended by 40'000 Scouters
